Adventures on the local and main trunk lines of New Zealand's railway system. The heavy locomotives J1236 and Ja1250 haul us first. Tracks 1 to 5 take us to New Plymouth, with spectacular sounds recorded. On Tracks 6 and 7 we tackle the mighty Raurimu Spiral, again on North Island lines. Tracks 8 to 11 find us taking the "Kingston Flyer" in the South Island . While on Tracks 12 to 17 locomotive Ja1267 makes her last great three day trip from Wellington to Frankton with the whistles, grunts and impressive power of this great steam engine.
